![]() ![]() Also, this confirmes that we should search for combos not only with up-direction, but also with down-direction. You can trigger this while wielding the axe 1H or 2H. Update #2: The Woodman's Axe as the following advanced weapon combo: Square, Square, Square+Down. Could be a coincidence, or we should think in weapon classes rather than different weapons. Update: The Pitchfork shares a moveset with the soldier's spear. I think it might be a good idea if you fool around a little bit with the gear you own and tell us of your experiences and which weapon combos you discover. Those are the only ones I discovered so far. The advance weapon combo of the 1H-Soldier's Spear is an over-the-head-spin-Attack. ![]() The advanced weapon combo of the 1H-Varangian Spartha is a forward leap attack. The advanced weapon combos differ from weapon to weapon and even if you wield them 1H or 2H. Even if you put them in a bigger combination of attacks like Square, Square, Square, Triangle, Triangle, it remains the same basic weapon combo Seems like most weapons have those and it's easy to find and use them. ![]() Since the basic weapon combos only differ in moveset, but not in how you trigger them, there's no need to discuss this further. Combination of both Basic Weapon Combos (Square, Triangle, Triangle).Basic Weapon Combo 1 (Square, Triangle). What you see in this video is for both weapons and in the following order I've made a video where I demonstrate this with the Varangian Spartha and the Soldier's Spear. And I like to differ them into basic weapon combos and advanced weapon combos. I'd like to invite you to read the entire text before posting, so you see what this is exactly about. And one of the few good Strike damage weapons Dex builds have access to thanks to the Extra Blunt bug/feature.My last thread on that topic was going into a somewhat wrong direction, possibly because my description was not good enough. Guns can do good DPS even from close range and it's actually one of the strongest Dex loadouts IMO. Pair the gun with an Extra Blades or Extra Blunt weapon in your main hand and it will change the damage type of the gun to either 75%/25% or 25%/75% Slash/Strike damage. Greataxes: Didn't really like these for the same reason I didn't like Axes. With even just consumable weapon buffs it's very strong, but with a 50 Wis Divine Blessed Weapon it's just busted. Obsidian Pillar gains the largest AR boost from weapon buffs. Greathammers: Obsidian Pillar (Str or Str/Wis), or Trinity Scepter (Str). Greatswords: Jaws of Death (Str), Scharfrichter (Str), Trinity Greatsword (Str, slightly stronger than Scharfrichter when a weapon buff is used, but can't be 1-handed), or Seawolf Cutlass (Str/Wis, another weapon that gains a big increase from weapon buffs). Although it has a 50/50 split in Strike/Slash damage so it can't exploit Slash weaknesses as well. Rusted Greatladle is another high base damage weapon that is strong with Divine Blessed Weapon. ![]() Reapers: Purifier (Str/Wis), Rusted Greatladle (Str/Dex/Wis), or Salt Reaver (Str/Dex). Spears: Overlord's Bident (Dex) or Umbral Partisan (Str/Dex). Headsman's Voulge (Dex) is also ok but Naginata is stronger when weapon buffs are used because of the higher base damage. Poleaxes: Naginata (Dex) or Tainted Ranseur (Str/Dex). Whips: Didn't like any of these other than the Steel Centipede, which is a Sword-Whip hybrid. I don't like using weapons with 50/50 split in Strike/Slash damage because you can't exploit enemy weaknesses with it. It also needs to be fully upgraded before it's any good.)Īxes: Didn't use these much actually, so not really sure. (Iron Pot gains a lot of extra AR from Divine Blessed Weapon because of its high base damage. Hammers: Mountain Breaker (Str), Barbarian's Cudgel (Str), or Iron Pot (Str/Wis). The fire rate is much slower than other guns. Swords: Branding Iron (Mag), Steel Centipede (Dex, Sword-Whip hybrid weapon), or Tachi (Dex).Ī lot people like the Flint & Steel (Sword-Gun hybrid), but IMO it's inferior to using an off-hand gun. In my opinion, the best ones for each weapon class are:ĭaggers: Eviscerator (Dex) or Opal Tusk (Dex/Wis). You might want to try my weapon AR calculator here: ![]()
